This year we are going BIG!
Big DER Energy. American Energy Dominance. We are - as Jigar would tell us to do - thinking in billions not millions.
For this year’s event we secured a truly incredible new location on Governors Island’s Parade Ground. The main stage backdrop will overlook a Revolutionary War military fort and the Financial District skyline. Biiiig shouts to The Trust for Governors Island in helping make this happen.
The High Level
When: Oct 17, 9am-6pm (plus night time activities)
Where: Governor’s Island, NYC
Tickets: $800
We’ll also be throwing a fully solar-powered music festival on October 18th at the same location. It will be separately ticketed with details to follow, so save that date as well! Last year was incredible. Nation of Language said it was one of their favorite NYC shows they’ve ever played and we even got a shoutout from Rolling Stone.
You can expect a full day complete with
Incredible speakers and panels, zero pay to play
Topics that actually matter with unrestrained hot takes
An expanded demo day with the coolest startups in energy
Time to hang with a seriously awesome group of peers
A big ass party at the end

Logistics
Getting to Governors Island requires taking a super quick ferry ride either from Fidi or from Brooklyn.
If you want to be there for the Kickoff at 9am, make sure you’re on the 8:15am (8:30 at the latest!) ferry from FiDi (10 minute ferry, 10 minute walk to DERVOS, 10 mins to register and settle) or the 8:22am ferry from RedHook.
As for leaving, ferries to FiDi leave every 30 minutes, with the last ferry at 11pm. But if you want to take the Brooklyn ferry, you’ll need to catch the 5:47..

This year’s event is brought to us by:
Last year’s DERVOS
“Well, DERVOS was awesome. Most conferences (& I've been to a million) are boring AF. But at DERVOS everyone on stage all day -- and seemingly everyone in the audience! -- is doing fascinating, bleeding-edge stuff. What a great time to be DER-pilled!”
- David Roberts, Volts Newsletter
Here’s some content from last year if you’re curious about what it’s like:
Demo Day with Impulse Labs, Electric Era, Paces, and Westinghouse
Load Growth with Duncan Campbell (Scale Microgrids), Ari Matusiak (Rewiring America), Astrid Atkinson (Camus), Jesse Pelton (Type 1 & Abundance Institute), Andy Lubershane (EIP)
Power Markets with James McGinniss (David Energy), Jacob Mays (Cornell), Brian Bartholomew (REV Renewables), Eric Goff (Goff Policy), Andy Reger (PA Consulting)
Policy Panel with Allison Clements (FERC), Marissa Gillett (CT PURA), Arushi Sharma Frank (Luminary Strategies, former Tesla), Allison Bates Wannop (DER Task Force)

Awesome - if we buy but can't attend, what're the options with the stranded ticket? Refund? Resell? Thx!
Hi! If I bought a ticket but can't attend, is there a way to catch the sessions virtually?
