As for the topic, it only seemed appropriate to discuss FERC 2222 on 2/2/22. For those who don't know, FERC 2222 is an order issued by the federal electricity regulator that compelled electricity system operators to incorporate aggregated demand-side resources into competitive markets. When the order was released, no one knew exactly how the system operators would respond, as there are many potential ways to comply with it. Today, over a year later, it is still a rather open question.
We also plan to discuss demand flexibility broadly, its role in the energy transition, Voltus' approach, and much more.
We hope you join us for this first meetup of the new year!
