July Meetups and a Special Event!
DERTF has a bunch going on this month.
We had a great NYC meetup last night — thanks to all who attended. Here’s a list of everything else we’ve got going on this month, and be sure to scroll to the end. Also, keep in mind the latest events calendar can always be found here.
TORONTO MEETUP DATE CHANGE
The Toronto meetup is being changed from today (7/11) to next Tuesday (7/16). Same location. During the summer we’ll be going will Tuesdays moving forward as well. Check out the meetup calendar here for more details.
SEATTLE
No meetup scheduled yet for July, but we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop if one comes up.
“PEAK HEAT” HOT TAKES WITH KEYFRAME CAPITAL
Join Keyframe Capital and DER Task Force on July 24th from 6-8pm for an evening of cool gelato and hot takes.
We'll have a lineup of participants give a 1 min hot take on anything energy followed by a rapid-fire Q&A. Let us know if you want to speak before the group - there might just be a prize for you if you do!
Hot Take Examples:
Urban rooftop solar installations will become the primary source of renewable energy for cities by 2030
Coal mines will be converted into giant underground greenhouses, turning former pollution sites into food hubs
Fusion will always be 30 years away, no matter how much we invest in it
Have some fun with it - there are no rules!
